I have always loved mysteries. When I was a kid, I devoured the Nancy Drew and Hardy Boys mysteries. As I grew older and my tastes changed, I graduated to Sue Grafton, Sara Paretsky, Michael Connelly, Nelson Demille, the Kellermans, and John Sandford. I started writing stories and took creative writing classes in high school and college. As I started a career in healthcare, I continued to enjoy reading and writing for pleasure.
I love to travel and have been to 49 states. I spent many years as Team Manager of the US Archery Team for the 1996 and 2000 Olympic Games as well as other international tournaments all over the world. I love ghost tours, foodie tours, and historical home tours.
Libby, Mimi, and the characters of Mariposa Beach were born through three interconnected short stores that comprised my senior thesis. I had spent so much time with those characters that after a successful thesis defense and graduation, I couldn’t let them go. I began to think of Libby in various situations, all of them included her solving a mystery. One such situation started with a dead body in a locked room and the ensuing questions of “What happened?” “Why?” “Who did it?” and “Where’s the girl?” The story started to evolve and nine years later, “Murder in Mariposa Beach” was complete.
Libby and I are now on a new journey together. Libby’s stories are ready to be published and, after retiring from healthcare, I’m on a new Authorpreneur path. It’s exciting. Where will this journey take us?

Will Jack make her consider breaking her rule a second time, and if she does, will she live through the consequences?

"In her short story debut, Cozy Mystery Author Teresa Michael has shown a unique talent to write just as exquisitely well in short story form as she does in novel-length fiction as well as take her work from the lightness and humor of her cozies into a wee bit darker tale. And what a fantastic ending!. Can't wait for the next one." D. D. Scott, International Best Selling author
